case study Three

SOCIAL IMPACT

portfolio

Objective

Positively impacting and affecting the social common interest of a group of private entities. Capitalizing on the networks and loyalists of an emerging digital property in combination with a historic hospitality institution, in order to raise substantial monies for a non-profit and via a single, special event. Coordinate creative/marketing, promotion, ticket sales, auction, venue and evening in general; circa Bryant Park, NYC. All proceeds and benefits in support of POTSBronx.org (Part of The Solution, Bronx, NYC).

To capitalize on the ambition and momentum of two privately owned companies (tech and hospitality), and combine efforts to not only 'look good,' but do some real good, in the process.  Establishing a relationship with POTS Bronx would be a homerun in matching the theme of the evening - "common ground," - with a non-profit that creates stable 'common ground,' for the people that it routinely helps.  Gaining traction, visibility and natural appreciation from all three entities' followings was the 'business opportunity,' - aside from just creating an evening that brought good hearted people together to affect social change.

Brand Values:     Humbling. Impactful. Memorable.

As one of the oldest and most celebrated hospitality institutions in NYC would be joining forces with a new local publisher, the goal was to help people living on the streets of NYC and establish a feeling of 'common ground,' in one single evening.  The creative collateral for marketing all the way through to advertised, special contests - all summated as well rounded coordination/production preparation, and therein resulted in a memorable and unique run-of-show.  The evening was prepared to bring together the core values of the private entities, the non-profit and the general public - while entertaining guests and simply showing people an old fashioned, good time in the heart of NYC.

Over the course of two months of planning, the future event/evening grew from a conversation to a well publicized event. Social media, various digital assets and corporate targeting all resulted in tickets selling out. As interest grew from an attendance perspective, the event grew in scope from a get-together, to a dynamic affair; accented by speeches, surprise guests, live auction and more.

More than $10,000 was raised in a single evening, and in favor of POTSBronx.org. New relationships were born out of social, business and generally “common ground,” interests, from a wonderful group of people coming together. Future engagements, endeavors and ‘doing good,’ is constantly underway and at the forefront of both private entities. From the heart-felt stories about being king to strangers, made by NY celebrities - to the toasts made and monies raised - an epic, stand-alone evening was produced, in 360 degree fashion.
